We received an email from the U.S. Embassy in Guatemala City saying that Catalina's pre-approval has been issued. This means that the Embassy has reviewed our case and the DNA results and has given its consent. This step is required before PGN will approve the adoption. It is not required to have pre-approval before you go into PGN, but it's nice to have all your ducks in a row before you go in.
Now, we are praying that Gus's pre-approval will soon follow. We are also praying that the social worker's report is completed soon so that we can exit Family Court and move on to PGN.
We are also getting so excited about our trip this week. It's hard to think about anything else!! We can't wait to see Catalina and Gus again. Those pictures that they sent on Friday night just made us even more anxious to see those little angels.
