Yeah, yeah, yeah!!

Baby Gus's U.S. Embassy pre-approval was issued today!!! We're so happy! Our hope is that when we see our agency's Guatemalan coordinator on Friday, he'll have good news about the social worker's report. If that's the case, we'll be entering PGN very soon. I don't want to get my hopes up about that, but it sure would be nice!

You might be wondering what all this means for our adoption timeline and, honestly, it's just so hard to say. Two cases could enter PGN (the Guatemalan version of the Attorney General's office) on the same day...one could be out successfully in five weeks without any kick-outs, while the other stays in for six months and is kicked out several times for all sorts of little paperwork issues. For this reason, the letters "PGN" strike fear in the hearts of everyone that has adopted, is adopting, or will adopt from Guatemala! But, I can't dwell on that. We have to hope for the best and have faith that God's timing is perfect. He will see that our babies come home just when they should.
