Birthday Boy!!

So sorry that it has been so long since I posted. As everyone has already heard, Louie has a new job and we are moving to Tampa. I am really excited about Louie's job, the move, and our beautiful new house, but it's all keeping me extra-busy these days.

Baby Gus turned one-year-old last Thursday!! Louie was working in Tampa on the big birthday, so we kept that day low-key and saved the real celebration (cake!) for Saturday. On Thursday night, we had dinner at our friends, the McKinneys. It was a lot of fun, especially watching the kids drive the little toy car around. To me, Catalina looks about 16 in these pictures and I don't like it one bit!







On Friday, my little brother and his wife came for a visit. I was really excited for them to meet Catalina and Gus! Catalina was nuts about them both. We had a wonderful weekend and were so glad to have them here!!







We didn't have a big party for Gus's birthday this year. He doesn't like big crowds of people right now, so we didn't want to put him through that. We just had Louie's parents, his sister, her husband, Matt and Jules over for dinner and cake. Gus wasn't sure what to do with his cake. He eventually figured it out with our help and seemed to enjoy it!





Here are a couple more messy photos of Gus-Gus, this time eating buttery rice! He's loving all the new foods he has gotten to try - yesterday he had pancakes for the first time - but his favorites are still the plain-jane stuff like sweet potatoes and bananas.
