Animal Adventures

There's a horse stable across from one of the parks that we frequent in our area. Cati always comments on the horsies and Gussy says "Neigh, Neigh." Well, on Thursday, one of our wonderful friends took us there to meet her mother-in-law's horses. I am really sad that I didn't have my camera. Catalina's facial expressions and body language were priceless. She was so excited and nervous. Both she and Gus got to pet their noses and Cati even fed one of the horses, Bella, a carrot. The other horse, Tonka, doesn't see very well and Catalina was so worried when she heard this. She told him, "I'm so sorry that you can't see, horsie." Let's just say that I wasn't her favorite person when I told her it was time to leave. She frowned at me and shuffled her feet slowly and kept saying that she just couldn't understand why we had to go home. Then, over lunch, she told me that during her nap she was going to dream about the horsies and that she was going to win a race on one of them, then she was going to dream about being a farmer, and then she was going to dream about baby Max. What a sweet, sweet girl!

Yesterday, we went to the aquarium with Ali, McConnell, Ruffin, and our new friend, baby Will (Will's mama is my friend and yoga teacher, Lindsay). We always have fun at the aquarium, but yesterday was very special because the kids got to see and touch a baby alligator!! See the great pictures below.

It was quite an adventure for all the kids! They also got to touch a blowfish, which Cati calls a "blowing fish."

Gussy had a great time, too, even though he didn't touch any of the animals. He was really interested in watching the turtles yesterday.

These pictures are really funny. He's gotten to a stage where he wants to do every little thing that the bigger kids do. In the first picture, McConnell is trying to climb up to get a closer look at the sharks in the tank.

Today is the Gasparilla Kids Parade, a big deal in our area. Both kids have had the sniffles this week, but we're hoping that they will still have a good time today. I'll take lots of pictures.
