We also went to our friend, baby Claire's, birthday party. It was probably the cutest kids' party I've ever seen. A circus theme, with the most perfect little decorations everywhere you looked (see the clown hats below). And, the party favors were finger puppets. Cati has had so much fun with them!

On New Year's Eve, the kids had a fun evening, eating pizza and cupcakes and playing at McConnell and Ruffin's house.

Cati and Gus after sharing a cupcake:

Gus, Harrison, and Ruffin playing with this funny little truck (It had a deer across the hood, hunters in the cab, and a gun rack on the back. When you turned it on, it bounced up and down like a lowrider and played "Sweet Home Alabama." Dad and Matt, that's what you're getting for Christmas next year!)

On New Year's Day, we had a nice, low-key day. We went to the park and I would like everyone to know that Louie dressed Catalina that day. That top and those pants were not meant to be worn together. Look, she's camoflaged!

Louie got a remote-controlled car for Christmas and we took it to the park. Gus is afraid of it and spent almost the entire time holding tightly to Louie's legs and keeping a close eye on the car!
Cati had a blast driving it!

Today is my brother's birthday. Cati, Gus, and I put on a skit for his big 28th and had so much fun. Cati dressed up like a doctor, like my brother, and the skit culminated with her prescribing birthday cake as medicine for Gussy. Hope you enjoyed it, Tio Matty! We love you!
