We spent Sunday afternoon and evening with my friend, Kara, and her family. Kara is an old and dear friend and she's completely adorable on every level, so, it's not a stretch that she married a cute guy and they had the three most adorable and fun boys! They live in an incredible house right on the river and I tease Kara that the next time they go on vacation, we want to vacation at her house!
Kara's husband and her two older boys took Cati, Gus, and Louie on a canoe trip while Kara, her precious baby, and I stayed around the house and got caught up. As usual with new experiences, Cati had to stand back and take it all in before being able to join the group. She warmed up really quickly, though, and had an amazing time. Here are my babies all suited up, plus Nate and Tim, who were so incredible to take my family on this adventure (we hope that they'll come visit us sometime so that we can return the favor!):

Kara's boys, Nate and Zac, are old pros and it won't be long before baby Ben follows their lead:

With my friend and her precious baby:

I love that Cati and Gus look like they are really helping to paddle with their little oars. According to Louie, Gussy dropped his into the water only twice during the twenty minute trip.

After they made it home, we had a wonderful meal and the kids played together before taking one more little adventure. Here's Tim, with Nate's assistance on the steering wheel, taking the kids down to one of their favorite spots:

Kara and family, we can't thank you enough! Our kids have such fun memories from our visit to your house.
On Monday, Catalina and Bibi did a little project together. A stepping stone, so that Bibi and Grandad will be reminded of our wonderful trip to Arkansas this summer (it turned out so cute!):

Gussy hanging out with Roux and Grandad while the ladies worked on their project:

On our last full day in Arkansas, Cati received an early birthday present: a tennis racket! Then, Grandad took Cati out for her first lesson.

She was afraid of making mistakes at first, but then she loosened up and started having a good time.

Gus enjoyed being the ball boy the entire time, running all over the courts and tiring himself out. He fell asleep immediately after we left the courts.

I LOVE these pictures of my little tennis player!

Early Wednesday morning, after an amazing week-long visit, we headed home to Florida. Cati and Gus were pretty good on the flights back, with the exception of a couple of screaming fits on Gussy's part. Here's a picture of the now seasoned travelers, wearing their new shirts that my mom's friend, Grace, gave them:

This was my favorite trip to Arkansas ever! The only things missing were that my brother and his wife weren't there, and, of course, we always miss baby Max and wish he were with us. Next year, hopefully. Bibi and Grandad, thank you for such a wonderful week. We enjoyed every single minute of our visit!
