Our little punkins

We had a great Halloween. I spent much of the week leading up to it feeling sad and blue because we couldn't spend it in Nashville like last year; however, our first Tampa Halloween proved to be a really good one.

First, I must give a huge "thank you" to my sister-in-law, who created amazing, incredible costumes for Catalina and Gus again this year. For those of you just tuning in, these were Julie's adorable creations from last year (Cati was the Queen of Hearts, and Gus, Ford, and Will were the Three of Hearts, Ace of Hearts, and the Joker, respectively...makes me smile just looking at these pictures again):

Nat's Halloween

This year, Cati was the Little Mermaid and Gussy was Flounder. They were so cute, I can't even tell you (the costumes and the kids wearing them)! Tia Jules, we cannot possibly thank you enough!

Here is our little mermaid, trying on her costume for the very first time. She instantly fell in love!

Here are a few pictures of the kids working on the pumpkin you saw above:

Our Halloween started with a carnival at Cati's school. Gussy was overwhelmed by all the kids and chaos, but Catalina had the time of her life running around, playing games, visiting with her friends.

Flounder tagged along behind his Cici for a little while, then decided he didn't like the crowd and resigned himself to hanging onto my leg:

That evening, we headed back out to trick-or-treat. Look at these cuties:

She's so beautiful, she just melts me. Her papa might never let her wear makeup again after seeing her on Friday night!

We knew our neighborhood was having a party (they have done it for years and years, apparently), but since we weren't here last year, we had no idea the magnitude of it. We turned the corner and were surprised by the crowd of people, food, drinks, even a bounce house! The Perques walked down to join us and the Bomsteins came, too. It was really a lot of fun for all of us!

I love the next two pictures of these sweet, little friends:

We ended the evening at the Perques' house for snacks and drinks and an attempt at letting the kids run off some of their sugar high. I guess it worked because the Caputo kids and parents crashed shortly thereafter (we were all in bed by 9:20!). We definitely packed a lot of fun into one day. Can't wait to have Max join us for our next Halloween!

Aw, I love, love, love those pictures from last year. We sure do wish we could have spent this Halloween with you. It looks like y'all had a big time in Tampa, though.

Cati really is the most beautiful little girl! They look precious in their costumes! Can't wait to see what Tia Jules will make for the three of them next year! Love you!

They are so precious! I need a Tia Jules!

BTW Addy wore makeup too - she was Cleopatra - and her daddy was not happy at how grown up she looked. He kept referring to her as Jon Benet Ramsey. I think that poor child is going to be wearing a mask next year if daddy has anything to do with it!

P.S. Can't wait for updates on all the goings on! xoxoxo

Tia Jules outdid herself. The costumes were precious.
The kids are beautiful.
Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. It won't take Max long to know he is loved by a wonderful, mother, father, sister and brother.
