I'm 4 now!

When we woke up on Saturday morning, the first thing that Catalina said to Louie was, "Papa, I'm four now!" She was so excited! She loved having birthday cake, opening presents (as you can imagine, she was interested in quantity, not quality...she'd open one present, throw it to the floor, and reach for the next one!), and playing at "Mickey's house."





She definitely loved Disney, but it was a bit overwhelming at first. You can tell from the pictures that she had a forced smile when we first got to the park. She just didn't know what it was all about. Then, she saw the carousel and the Dumbo ride and she was hooked! Her first meltdown occurred only about 20 minutes after we walked in the door, while waiting in line for the flying elephants. She couldn't understand why we had to wait for so long before riding it. She said "My turn, now?" about 99 times and then just resorted to tears.

She wasn't at all keen on the big characters. We kind of thought that might happen.





Despite the meltdowns, on our way home from the park, Cati told us, "Soooo much fun today!" Oh, and she really, really loved the Main Street parade. She could see all of the characters, but they were a safe distance away from her!



When we arrived home, she had a few more gifts waiting on her. That was the perfect way to end an already wonderful day!
