And, here they are in their amazing costumes! My sister-in-law, Julie, was the "artistic director!" She came up with the idea, designed the costumes, and made them. They were incredibly cute, especially seeing all the little boys dressed up together. Thank you, Tia Jules, from the bottom of our hearts! Catalina refused to take her costume off at the end of the night, if that tells you how much she loved it.
Cati was the Queen of Hearts:

Gussy was the Three of Hearts card:

Ford was the Ace of Hearts card:

And, Will was the Joker card:

All the kids were in kind of iffy moods before they got dressed. We were so afraid it was going to be a disaster. Instead, when we got them dressed up, they each got their second wind! They were seriously running all over the house and around in the front yard. There is no way for the pictures to accurately convey the cuteness of the kids in their costumes and the fun and chaos of the entire evening! All of us parents just laughed and tried our hardest to keep up, while also snapping pictures here and there. We only went to a few houses in Mary and Jason's neighborhood, but that was just enough for the kids.

After trick-or-treating, the girls (minus Nichols, but we were thinking of her) went out to dinner to celebrate Mary Ann's birthday. The dinner and wine were perfect and the company was even better! I'm so glad that I was there to celebrate with them.
