Before leaving Nashville, we met up with my very sweet mom, who drove all the way from Arkansas to spend the weekend with us. I should point out that this trip to Sewanee wouldn't have even been possible if my mom hadn't come. She loves our kids more than anything in this world and she drops everything whenever she has the opportunity to spend time with them. She babysat while we went to a couple of reunion (Louie's 10th) events and then everywhere else we went, she was always right there to help with the kids or carry the diaper bag or whatever. Bibi, there's no way to thank you enough!
Here we are at Noshville for lunch with Bibi. Below, Gus is trying out his first pickle. He didn't seem to like it, but he knew he was doing something funny, so he kept trying it and even gave Abuelita Bibi a taste.

We were really in the mood for some fall weather and beautiful leaves and we were not at all disappointed. It was nice and cool in Nashville and even more so in Sewanee. Just what we needed!

On Friday morning, we got up in our jammies and fleeces and walked around outside the home we rented. It was really nice (the house), except for the stuffed otter in the dining room. Not the most appetizing thing to see, in my opinion. Several of Louie's friends from school stayed with us and we really enjoyed catching up with them.

Before lunch at Shenanigans, we went for a walk in Abbo's Alley.

It looks like you had a FABULOUS time at your home away from home. The kiddos are getting so big and are absolutely beautiful! They have a handsome and beautiful daddy and mommy too! You are the best blogger and I love keeping up with your family... any new news re: the events in Guatemala? Hugs, boo
