We had a great week with my family last week. I'll post lots of pictures from their visit in my next entry (which will not be three weeks from now, I promise). For now, I'll catch you up on our Easter festivities.
Easter baskets were an exciting start to the day. For those of you that don't know, Catalina has a special city-bunny that shops for and puts together her Easter baskets. This very special bunny loves her job so much that she has vowed to continue this tradition until at least 2025! Needless to say, Cati's basket was pretty amazing and included super-cute clothes, flip-flops, jewelry, belts, headbands, a Dora bathing suit and Dora frilly nightgown, a Barbie doll named Teresa, and a cool little accordian that both kids are obsessed with. Gussy got a Tonka truck, an Elmo Easter basket with Sesame street toys and video. Lots of fun stuff! While Cati was opening her Easter basket, she was kind of nervous because she thought that some big bunny was going to walk around the corner at any time. We had to assure her that the Easter bunny was no longer here and that he had moved on to other houses in other parts of the world.

Next, we were off to church to celebrate the real reason for Easter...Christ's triumph over death and our salvation in Him. Of course, we were reminded of our baby boy in Guatemala and we prayed that next Easter, we would be celebrating as a family of five.

After church, we were off to the Perque's for brunch and an egg hunt. Mindy made a perfect meal and the kids had a blast together, as always.

As you can imagine, the kids crashed hard in the car when we left Lolli's house, but we still had one more stop to make. We spent the afternoon with the Foxes. More delicious food and more Easter goodies for the kids!

Hope that each of your families had a wonderful weekend! Love!
