Picking strawberries

On Thursday morning, we went to the Shady Acres Farm in Dover, FL, to pick strawberries with the Barrows, the Weils, and the Greens. It was so much fun!! As usual, my three little ones had three unique perspectives on our outing. Catalina was pretty serious about finding the very best strawberries and about keeping away from the bugs(the mosquitos are out already, ugh). Gus, on the other hand, wasn't really into picking the strawberries at all. He just wanted to run as fast as he could up and down the rows, picking a few here and there for his own purposes (either to eat, or to throw on the ground and stomp all over them). And, then, Max just walked around with his hands and mouth full the entire time. You'll see it in the pictures below...he's eating in almost every single one. Seriously, I think he ate at least 20 strawberries while we were there! It was so much fun and we're thankful to Miss Merritt for telling us about this great place. We can't wait to go back!

Gussy and our buddy, Will, who kept telling us that he wants to be a farmer when he grows up:

Evidence that Max arrived at Shady Acres with a perfectly clean face!

When he finished the first one, he liked it so much that he continued to chew on the stem!!

And, Gussy's still running:

Can you see the house in the background of this next picture? There's a swingset in the backyard and, at one point, we looked up and Gus and Mason were playing on the swingset!

Dirty, dirty boy!

Gussy ate his fair share, too, and has the dirty face to show for it!

All those strawberries we got cost us $2.50! It was so much fun and the strawberries were so good that we'll definitey be going back again soon, but next time we'll take Papa with us!

After our good, wholesome fun on the farm, we went to McDonald's...the kids' first time at McDonald's EVER! Of course, like the rest of America's youth, they loved it. Also this week, they had Sonic happy hour slushies for the first time. Gussy didn't like his, but Catalina is converted.
